4.3 The System Analysis Model

    The System Analysis Model is made up of class diagrams, sequence or collaboration diagrams and statechart diagrams. Between them they constitute a logical, implementation-free view of the computer system that includes a detailed definition of every aspect of functionality. This model:

    Defines what the system does not how it does it.
    Defines logical requirements in more detail than the use case model, rather than a physical solution to the requirements.
    Leaves out all technology detail, including system topology
