| Return to Business Analysis | Develop Business Process Model Task |
| The process model often defines processes that operate across departments and, while hierarchic, have a different hierarchic structure to that of the organisation structure or ‘org chart’. It is important to model this process hierarchy separately from the organisation structure which is why it is done in a separate place from the organisation structure in the model. Later we will model how the two hierarchies link together when we map primitive business processes performed by business workers in the process model onto the business worker model elements in the business structure model as responsibilities. For now we need to discover and model the structure and the detail of the business processes. |
